Lisa Marie is one of the first internationally authorized Master
Trainers of the
GYROTONIC
EXPANSION SYSTEM¨
and
GYROKINESIS¨.
Lisa
Marie is a certified and authorized teacher trainer of all
Specialized
GYROTONIC¨
equipment.
She was introduced to
GYROTONIC¨
body conditioning during her career as a professional ballet
dancer. As a professional dancer she performed nationwide with
various companies beginning with the San Francisco Ballet.
After which she became certified as a Pilates instructor under
the tutelage of Marie-Jose Blom-Lawrence at Long Beach Dance
Conditioning where she co-managed the studio for 7yrs.
1996 to current:
Lisa Marie founded
her own company, White Crane Movement Arts, from which she has
been running a successful movement program and teacher training
courses. Lisa Marie was a co-owner of LA Body Kinetics and
currently co-directs the new Angel City Body Kinetics with
Marie-Jose Blom-Lawrence. Lisa Marie is currently part time
faculty at Loyola Marymount University as a teacher of classical
ballet.
Lisa Marie has
travels extensively internationally conducting courses for the
GYROTONIC
EXPANSION SYSTEM¨
and
Pilates. She also teaches specialized seminars focusing on
injury prevention for dance schools and institutes such as
California Institute for the Performing Arts, Inland Pacific
Ballet, and Pasadena Ballet. She was Director of the Childrenâs
Division of Long Beach Ballet Arts Center and has set up Pilates
and
GYROTONIC¨
studios for ballet schools and corporations. She is currently in
her third year of Medical Chi-Gong in which she continues her
development of her studies in her career as a movement
educator.
